I moved into N Street CoHousing in April of 2006, a bit shell shocked from leaving Berkeley, where I had lived for 23 years. Berkeley friends had asked why I was moving and my pat answer was, "I want chickens." They were shocked that I actually found a place that had chickens. The newly built N Street Common House opened with a wheelchair accessible one-bedroom unit at the front. Perfect timing for me!
